Do you cover experimental or unproven treatment?

For policies purchased or renewed after August 1st, 2024, we won't cover any costs for treatment where:

• There isn't a lot of evidence of the treatment's effectiveness.
• There isn't a consensus from the veterinary community on whether it works.
• It doesn't fall into the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons guidelines.

We also won't cover costs for complications from experimental or unproven treatment.
